The art of Scott Davis conveys the relationship of wildlife to its natural surroundings. His highly detailed works combine accurate depictions of animals and fauna in their native woods, savannahs and countrysides.
Davis has had an interest in wildlife since his youth volunteering at a local Wildlife Rescue center. After studying at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California, he decided to focus on bringing these magnificent creatures to life on canvas.
Davis' works have been shown in galleries and wildlife exhibits around the country. At the prestigious 12th Annual Wildlife Competition held at the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in Baton Rouge, LA, he won the Judge's Award with On the Prowl. His works are currently on display in many locations including The Inn at Squaw Creek, and the James Harold Galleries in Tahoe City. In addition, his art has been featured on the cover of Oracle Poetry Magazine, 1982.
Currently, Davis resides in Petaluma, California, where he is inspired by a wide variety of animals native to northern California. Scott Davis is available for commission. Please contact him with any questions or comments.
